China Town (Glodok)
Glodok is an administrative village of Taman Sari, West Jakarta, Indonesia. The area is also known as Pecinan or Chinatown since the Dutch colonial era, and is considered the biggest in Indonesia, as a majority of the traders in Glodok are of Chinese descent.

Nowadays the area is known as one of the biggest center for electronics in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Vihara Darma Bhakti
Located in Glodok, Jakarta’s Chinatown, Vihara Dharma Bhakti was built by a Chinese captain Oei Tjhie in 1755 to replace a previously demolished Buddhist temple that dated back to 1650. It was originally named Jin de Yuan (golden wisdom) but later its named was changed to the Indonesian translation Vihara Dharma Bhakti. Two pearl-eating dragons top the roof of the predominately red temple, while its interior features ancient bells and drums. Open to visitors from 05.00 am - 07.00 pm, it draws followers of both Confucianism and Taoism. The best time to take photographs of the building is in the morning, around 9 -10 am, when sunlight bursts down into the courtyard to create beautiful beams cutting through the thick incense.

Petak Sembilan
Petak Sembilan is located along Jl. Kemenangan III, Glodok, Taman Sari, West Jakarta. Petak Sembilan not only gives you the pleasure through the landscape of the architecture of the old buildings of China, but at the same time can bring health to your body, since you need to walk a bit to enjoy the Petak Sembilan observing ancient chinese atmosphere.

Pasar Petak Sembilan offers a more traditional feel, displaying a wide variety of products including food, clothing items and day to day needs. Some stranger items can also be found, such as turtles which are highly sought after for use in Ceremonial Prayers. Traditional Chinese ornaments and paraphernalia also add to the interest and excitement of the market.
